1. Warranty Overview
Ikonik Luxury Furniture stands behind the quality of every piece we produce. We provide a two (2) year warranty on all products, covering materials and craftsmanship as detailed in this policy. All warranties commence from the date of delivery and apply only to products used under normal conditions and in accordance with our care guidelines.
Proof of purchase (original invoice) is required for all warranty claims.
2. Coverage by Material
2.1 Synthetic Cane Furniture
Coverage period: 3 years
This warranty covers defects including fading, cracking, and peeling under normal use conditions. Our synthetic cane is UV resistant and engineered for long-term durability.
2.2 Epoxy Coated Aluminium
Coverage period: 2 years
All aluminium components feature a protective epoxy-coated finish. This warranty covers corrosion of the coating under normal use conditions.
2.3 Outdoor Fabrics
Coverage period: 2 years (manufacturer's warranty)
Covers fading, weakening, and environmental damage caused by prolonged sunlight exposure or mildew. Proof of purchase is required for all fabric warranty claims.
2.4 Rope Furniture
Coverage period: 2 years
- Materials warranty: Covers stretching or abrasion that occurs under normal use
- Craftsmanship warranty: Covers quality of construction and aesthetic durability
2.5 Umbrellas
- Fabric: 1-year warranty against defects in outdoor fabrics
- Hardware: 1-year warranty covering manufacturing faults in mechanisms and fittings
2.6 Metal Frames
- Aluminium & Stainless Steel: 3-year guarantee against rust or oxidisation
- Mild Steel Frames: 1-year warranty against corrosion, applicable for inland and protected use only. Mild steel frames are not suitable for coastal environments
- Craftsmanship: 3-year warranty on all frame workmanship
3. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Damage caused by severe or abnormal weather conditions
- Normal wear and tear consistent with regular use
- Failure to follow recommended care and maintenance guidelines
- Unauthorised modifications, alterations, or repairs
- Damage caused during customer transportation or relocation
- Commercial use unless the product was specifically sold for commercial application
- Fading or deterioration caused by exposure to chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning agents
4. Warranty Claims Procedure
To submit a warranty claim:
- Contact our sales team at sales@ikonik.co.za or via the contact page
- Provide a detailed description of the defect or issue
- Include clear photographic evidence of the damage
- Attach your original invoice or proof of purchase
Ikonik Luxury Furniture reserves the right to inspect the product before approving a claim. Approved claims will be resolved through repair, replacement, or credit at Ikonik Luxury Furniture's sole discretion.
5. Repairs & Associated Costs
- Transportation of furniture to and from our repair facility is the responsibility of the customer and is not covered under warranty
- On-site repairs may be arranged at the customer's request and will incur a call-out fee. Contact us at sales@ikonik.co.za to arrange a repair
- Any repairs undertaken by unauthorised third parties will void the warranty
6. Limitation of Liability
Ikonik Luxury Furniture's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or credit of the defective product. In no event shall Ikonik Luxury Furniture be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
7. General Provisions
- This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser
- Ikonik Luxury Furniture reserves the right to update this warranty policy at any time. The warranty applicable to your purchase is the version in effect at the date of purchase
- For the avoidance of doubt, this warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Ikonik Luxury Furniture or authorised retailers
